Nous sommes conscient·es de la réalité coloniale qui permet au proto studio d’exister. Il est donc important pour nous de nommer que nous travaillons, jouons et coexistons sur des terres qui font partie du territoire traditionnel non cédé des Kanien’keha:ka, lieu qui a longtemps servi pour des rassemblements et des échanges entre les nations. L’auto-détermination et la libération des populations autochtones à travers le monde équivaut à un seul et même combat. C’est pourquoi, nous tenons à souligner que la création de notre organisme et nos activités au studio ne se font pas dans l’ignorance du génocide qui est présentement perpétré par l’entité zioniste contre le peuple palestinien. Nous sommes de tout cœur avec la Palestine, le Liban, de même que le Soudan, le Congo, l’Ukraine, et avec toutes personnes souffrant de violence coloniale au quotidien…
We are aware of the colonial reality that allows proto studio to exist. It is therefore important for us to acknowledge that we work, play, and coexist on lands that are part of the traditional, unceded territory of the Kanien’keha:ka, a place that has long served as a gathering and trading site for nations. The self-determination and liberation of Indigenous peoples around the world are part of a single, unified struggle. That is why we wish to emphasize that the creation of our organization and our activities at the studio are not carried out in ignorance of the genocide currently being perpetrated by the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people. Our hearts go out to Palestine, Lebanon, as well as Sudan, the Congo, Ukraine, and to all those suffering from colonial violence on a daily basis…
